Looking into Something Different and NEW

Trevor and I have been talking about different things we want to do financially, career, and education wise. Well we are happy with our jobs, nothing we want to change. Trevor has been pushing back the idea of Military for a long time since we got married. He just wasnt sure if it was for him or our family, until recently. Something deep down isnt letting him push it away like before. So we started talking with eachother about it and looking things up on the internet, nothing major just looking. Then he started praying about it and he feels that it is something he needs to do. I being a young wife and mother isnt sure of the whole idea him joining full on into military but was willing to look into it but then he brought up the national guard and I kinda liked that idea a little better, still hard but willing to consider it! Then months go on and I havent really heard anymore from him til this past week. We went and talked to an Army National Guard yesterday and got most of our questions answered. Well after talking with one another last night we decided we would just do it. What would hurt, we be apart for a few months for training and then possibly for a year sometime after his training and then he wouldnt leave again in that term unless he volunteers or there is some emergancy and everyone goes. So next Wednesday he goes down and takes his placement test that will tell him what jobs he could qualify for and then enlist and choose a career. He gets to pick his date he wants to leave so he was thinking of waiting til June so he could be here for Lilyan 1st Birthday. But he will start his 1 weekend a month right away. So we will start getting the benefits Starting next week. He will start out as a E1 rank and will be an E3 by the time he leaves for Basic and AIT. And could move up to E4 by the time he is done with Training. So that would be sweet!

We are nervous and excited for this. It is definitely something Trevor feels he needs right now and all the benefits seem to be worth it. And he will get wonderful experiences and education out of it all! And another plus is my little sister is going thru all this right now with her husband Brady he is in AIT right now and will be home in March, so I will have her to lean to and talk too even though she is in UTAH we probably will talk more then we do now, and we talk alot already! :)
I will post more info next week when its all OFFICIAL!
